Yes!...Black Ballet History...And Our 'Supreme-Leading Pioneer'...

...are 'So Hurricane Big!'

We now remember, and say the name...

... Arthur Mitchell!

The Universe was 'Additionally Blessed'

when Arthur Mitchell was born! He paid

his dues and became excellent and even

peerless in his craft! He claimed the

directorships at several companies.When

the news broke that he had opened his

own school, Dance Theatre of Harlem,

hundreds of happy, eager, and bouncing

students registered within the first month,

and 'forever history' was set! He was

recognized as a MacArthur Fellow,

and received a United States Medal

of Arts Award, but more importantly,

he cemented his 'Kingly Status' in

the Hearts and Minds of millions

of 'The Prim and Proper Way'

afficionados!

"Do It Like King Arthur Mitchell

Would Do it!"

Mr. Mitchell also happens to have a mid-upper-lip
